The GMSV display at this year's National Agricultural Fieldays has a focus on ‘Live Big. Truck It’ with the marque bringing the full portfolio of Chevrolet Silverado Model Year 24 trucks along to the show.
This will be the first time that all three new variants will be on display together in New Zealand.
Appearing alongside the full-size pickup trucks will be GMSV’s new Brand Ambassador, Mad Mike, who will be on hand to meet fans on Friday June 14 and Saturday June 15 between 12pm and 3pm.
The GMSV stand will have a winter log cabin vibe, complete with a fireplace to keep guests warm against the Mystery Creek cold while chatting with Mad Mike and viewing the new range.
“The latest model to launch in the GMSV portfolio, the new Model Year 2024 Chevrolet Silverado Heavy Duty LTZ, is a significant step up compared with the previous model and features a swathe of enhancements with a focus on towing, technology, and comfort,” said Jess Bala, Managing Director, GM Australia & New Zealand.
“It is instantly recognisable thanks to its redesigned front fascia and grille design. Climb inside the spacious cabin and the Model Year upgrades become even more evident, with key highlights of the redesigned and more refined interior including Jet Black leather-appointed interior, power sunroof, power windows and power rear sliding window, complemented by a Bose Premium Sound System.”
The Heavy Duty features a 6.6-litre Duramax Turbo Diesel V8 engine and is uprated with additional power and performance, delivering 350kW of power and a staggering 1,322Nm of torque, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
From a tech-perspective, the plethora of cameras and their respective views all around the vehicle help contribute to safer operation when out and about. A Technology Pack is available as standard on the HD, consisting of a Rear Camera Mirror, Multi-colour Head-Up Display and 360 degree HD camera (plus up to 14 available unique camera views).
Adaptive Cruise Control, available even when using a trailer, is another safety-orientated first for the new model while additional standard features include Automatic Rear Locking Differential, Advanced Trailering Technology and Diesel Exhaust Brake.
Key upgrades to the MY24 LTZ Premium and ZR2 include a new dual active sport exhaust, as well as a tech pack on the ZR2.
The National Agricultural Fieldays are on at Mystery Creek near Hamilton June 12-15 and the GMSV site is located at I46.
